Buying a new house creates a lot of "firsts" in life. Tonight was the first time I used our circular saw. My dad would be so proud! I used an extra fence picket to create an edge on one of our existing garage shelves {built by my dad years ago} so we can store our basketballs.

Day 44
Our fence is complete!!! Ok.. almost. Now we just have the little section between our "wing" fence and our neighbors on our north side. But that will be done very soon....
Thank you to our friends for helping us...

Day 42
Today I treated myself to my favorite lotion, sweet pea from Bath & Body Works. It has been a LONG time since I have had any of this... strange I know.

Day 33
Today was the first day I have EVER donated blood. I can honestly say that I am proud of myself. I felt great the entire time, including afterwards and never had any issues. This will now become a routine.

Fencework
Today was FINALLY day 2 of putting up our fence. After waiting nearly 3 weeks for warmth, today was the day. It was Scottie and I, as well as our two neighbors and one father who was the supervisor. We started around 9am and finished shortly before 4pm. This included renting an auger to dig all 15 holes (this includes our neighbors other side). Luckily it was a warm day and I now have my first tan of the summer. Here is the final product.
Then my Padre came over and we added one more post. But my Padre didn't use an auger but just an old school post digger. That's my Padre!!!
After the post, we then moved the fence back on the north side of our house and put up a gate. I am SO glad we decided to add a gate, especially because our faucet is on that side. I was not looking forward to dragging that all around the other side of the house. Now we just need to finish taking out the other original post and fill it in with some dirt.

Day 29
Today was baby shower day, and there is something about the baby bump....
It's just too bad that the shower we planned for nearly 2 months only lasted 25 minutes..... long story, but makes for a great story for the parents to be, especially since everything was ok.

Day 28
My husband took apart one side of our fence as we are going to put in a gate. So here they sit until the gate goes up.

Day 26
Because of the recent windy days, our poor newly planted lilies are falling over. But don't worry, I came up with a solution! I used a hanger I had in the trash because the hook broke off and a zip tie. It makes a perfect support for the lily.

Book Page Wreath
The secret book page wreath... I saw this online thanks to another blog I read daily and I had to make one for our Mom's. Each one turned out so differently, I loved them. Now I need to make another one for us.

Day 22
What a fun day!! Started off with the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It was our first time and now it will become a yearly thing. What a great turn out of people.
We then came back home and did some planting. Our first lilies in our front yard.

Day 16
Our grass is growing in.... well in some parts. I can hardly wait until it is completely in. The worst part is, we still have a ton of weeds!!

Day 15
This morning I met up with a new friend at Rembrandt's Coffee House in Eagle. This coffee house used to be a church, as you can probably tell. What a great atmosphere! And even better coffee. My husband would sure be jealous.... although he is in Las Vegas right now, so probably not that jealous....
Since I was only a mile or so away from my elementary school that I went to for K-3 before moving to Meridian, I decided it was worth a stop. It is amazing how these schools never change.
